The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and The Office of Off-Campus Student Life have a strong desire to partner with the communities and neighborhoods around us that are home to our students, faculty, and staff, and to work together to improve the quality of life for all. We believe in:
- Encouraging and supporting student service and involvement within the greater Chapel Hill-Carrboro and surrounding community
- Helping to reduce the negative impacts of noise, trash, parking and other behavior emanating from student-rental properties that is inconsistent with community expectations
- Establishing collaborative approaches to work with landlords and property managers, town officials, and local agencies to ensure responsible practices
- Facilitating open dialogue on community issues
