Before being named UNC-CH Executive Director of Off-Campus Student Life and Community Partnerships in January 2018, Aaron served as the Associate Dean of Students and Director of Fraternity & Sorority Life and Community Involvement at UNC-Chapel Hill from 2011-2017 and has worked at UNC since 2009. He has previously worked in various leadership positions within student affairs at Appalachian State University and Hampden-Sydney College. Aaron earned his undergraduate degree from App State in 1996, a Master’s degree in College Student Personnel from Miami University (OH) in 2002, and his Doctoral degree from North Carolina State University in Higher Education Administration in 2014. Aaron enjoys helping students see their challenges from different perspectives so that they might discover and develop new and innovative strategies to address them. He also enjoys F3, rucking, snowboarding, burgers with bacon and avocado, and jam bands. He lives with his wife Dorsey, sons Mills and Gus, and their two four-legged family members, Banjo & Max.
